Take time to think about your tweets. This is very important as you need to be sure that you will not be offending anyone in your posts. Try such things as a quote or some form of humor. These are great attention grabbers, and as a result you will develop followers. The more followers that you gain the more traffic to your site and the more revenue that you will generate over time.

I also recommend using Twitter Karma to unfollow. This online program, let’s you unfollow every single person that is not following you back. Nice to know once you hit that 2000 followers barrier.
